Lemon Syrup

Add a sweet citrusy splash to an Angostura Phosphate or a glass of iced tea with this lemony syrup.

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
The zest and juice of ½ a lemon

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a simmer and stir until sugar fully dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Strain into a clean jar, cover and keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
