Havana by the Frame - Imbibe Magazine Subscribe + Save

When we asked photographer Caleb Krivoshey to capture Havana drinking culture, he hit the ground running. Currently working on a photo series inspired by the vintage allure of Havana’s classic taxicabs, Krivoshey has traveled to Cuba on assignments for the past six years, and he’s a big fan of the city’s cocktail scene. “Lately, Havana has changed a lot, with the new possibility of opening private businesses, such as bars, and thus, many new places for cocktail-drinking have flourished,” he says. “The Imbibe feature was an opportunity to discover these new places, such as O’Reilly, El Del Frente, El Cocinero and Azucar, but also to drink and savor my favorites—El Floridita, La Guarida, Al Littoral, La Bodeguida del Medio—as well as to ramble in Old Havana to discover more hidden bars.”
