Gold Dust

gold dust cocktailA dose of ginger liqueur adds a golden glimmer to this rye-based cocktail.

2 oz. rye whiskey
½ oz. simple syrup (1:1)
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
¾ oz. ginger liqueur
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: coupe
Garnish: brandied cherry and a lemon twist

Combine all ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish.
