Experience a Wine Festival Unlike Any Other

This isn’t a wine festival—it’s a summoning.

For one weekend each July, Blood of Gods Merrymaking transforms Walla Walla into something louder, stranger, and more alive than your typical tasting-room circuit. Now in its fifth year, this event brings together winemakers, artists, musicians, and a fiercely engaged crowd for a collision of wild wines, heavy music, and boundary-pushing art.

This isn’t about observing from the sidelines. You taste with the winemakers. You talk with the artists. Conversations spill into pours, music into movement—and somewhere along the way, strangers stop feeling like strangers.

The weekend unfolds in chapters:

  • A free Friday night art opening to kick things off
  • A no-holds-barred panel featuring Tegan Passalacqua, Elaine Chukan Brown, André Hueston Mack, and Tyler Balliet—bringing insight, irreverence, and real conversation
  • The Merrymaking main event—50+ wineries and breweries pouring everything from cult favorites to rare library vintages you won’t find anywhere else
  • And a late-night afterparty concert that leans fully into the event’s heavy, irreverent spirit

Expect producers like Cayuse, Lingua Franca, Tablas Creek, Beaux Frères, and more—alongside artists and vendors shaping a culture that feels participatory, not performative.

And in a rare move for an event of this scale, 100% of tasting proceeds are donated to Planned Parenthood, reinforcing that this isn’t just a party—it’s a community with purpose.

Tickets are $40 for admission to all of the above and a $40 wristband lets you taste from all of the participants (100% of these funds go directly to Planned Parenthood). The event sells out every year. Learn more and get tickets here.
