There’s still a week left to celebrate National Bourbon Month, and Proof Old Fashioned Syrup is here to help. Formulated by the bar crew responsible for The Pinewood in Decatur, Georgia, this syrup is perfect for making Old Fashioneds at home. Made with an oleo saccharum of lemon and orange oil to mimic the flavors of fresh lemon and orange (as peels would normally be muddled in the drink itself), the blend has a complex profile. If you’re looking for a fall twist, try the nutty pecan version. Just add ½ oz. of syrup to 2 oz. of whiskey.
