Drink of the Week: Aiya Green Tea

To start 2016 on the right note, we’re brewing up a batch of earthy green tea from matcha purveyors Aiya America. The company’s Tea Taster’s Line features three new flavors packaged in tea bags, all of which are USDA certified organic green teas from Kagoshima in Kyushu, Japan. We gravitated most towards the Matcha-infused Sencha for its crisp, vegetal brightness and sweet, umami backbone. It has a ton of body and medium level of caffeine, meaning it’s perfect for waking the senses any time of the day.
