Coperta Da Sci Nightcap

Warming layers of apple brandy, alpine amaro, sweet vermouth and crème de cacao reveal why Kellie Thorn of Empire State South named this cocktail after the Italian term for ski blanket. Featured in the book Nightcap by Kara Newman, it’s the perfect aprés-ski companion.

Ingredients

  • ¾ oz. apple brandy
  • ¾ oz. Braulio amaro
  • ¾ oz. sweet vermouth
  • ¼ oz. crème de cacao
  • Tools:mixing glass, barspoon, strainer
  • Glass:cocktail or brandy
  • Garnish:Orange peel

Preparation

In a mixing glass, stir together the brandy, amaro, vermouth and crème de cacao with ice. Strain into a small chilled glass. Twist the orange peel over the top of the drink to express the oils, then use as a garnish.
