The Bourbon Renewal is one of the most popular cocktails on the menu of Clyde Common in Portland, Oregon. It combines bourbon, cassis, bitters, lemon, and gomme syrup for some extra body.

Ingredients

1½ oz. bourbon
¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
½ oz. creme de cassis
2 tsp. gomme syrup
1 dash Angostura bitters

Tools:shaker, strainer
Glass:Old Fashioned

Preparation

Combine ingredients with ice in a shaker and shake to chill. Strain into and ice-filled glass.
