Black Rose Espresso Martini

Looking for an alternative to the vodka-based Espresso Martini, Buck & Breck brushed up a 1930s recipe using rhum agricole.

1½ oz. rhum agricole
⅔ oz. espresso
1 tsp. rich simple syrup (2:1)
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: cocktail
Garnish: coffee beans

Shake all of the ingredients with ice, then strain into a chilled glass. Garnish.

Adapted by Gonçalo de Sousa Monteiro for Buck & Breck, Berlin
