Cucumber Basil Margarita

Inspired by his mother’s garden in Porto, Portugal, Chef Nuno Sousa brings the garden freshness of cucumbers and basil to this twist on the Margarita.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. blanco tequila
  • 1 1/2 oz. fresh cucumber juice
  • 3/4 oz. elderflower liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 2 basil leaves
  • Tools:muddler, shaker, strainer
  • Glass:rocks
  • Garnish:basil leaf

Preparation

Add a basil leaf to a shaker and gently muddle it. Add the rest of the ingredients to the shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into the glass. Garnish.
