Naked in the Desert: A Sotol Cocktail

In his nod to Joaquín Simó’s Naked and Famous cocktail, Diego Valencia skips the mezcal and brings in another Mexican spirit, sotol. The result is an extra earthy interpretation of the original.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 oz. sotol
  • 3/4 oz. Aperol
  • 3/4 oz. Yellow Chartreuse
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:rocks
  • Garnish:grapefruit twist, six drops of Angostura bitters

Preparation

Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish.
