Espresso Martini

A modern classic invented in London.

First mixed in the 1980s by London bartender Dick Bradsell, the Vodka Espresso Cocktail (aka Espresso Martini) has a simplicity of preparation and an uncomplicated (but always appealing) flavor that make it a modern classic.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. espresso
  • ½ oz. coffee liqueur
  • ¼ oz. simple syrup (1:1)
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:cocktail
  • Garnish:3 coffee beans

Preparation

Combine ingredients in a shaker and fill with ice. Shake until chilled and foamy; strain into chilled glass and garnish.
