Maple Leaf Cocktail

1½ oz. bourbon
1½ oz. cold-brew coffee
½ oz. falernum
2 dashes chocolate bitters
2 barspoons maple simple syrup*
1 barspoon Frangelico
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: coupe
Garnish: coffee grounds

Combine all ingredients in shaker with ice. Shake to chill, strain and garnish.

Maple Simple Syrup
Mix 2 cups of maple syrup and 1 cup of water into a pot, shave in about a quarter of nutmeg and throw in 3 cinnamon sticks, bring to a slow boil stirring regularly as to not let it burn. Remove from heat and let cool.
