Hot Rye Bijou

Bartender Evan Zimmerman calls this hot play on the classic Bijou cocktail “one of the ultimate wintry warming beverages out there.”

1 oz. rye whiskey
1 oz. sweet vermouth
1 oz. green Chartreuse
1 dash orange bitters
Tools: saucepan
Glass: toddy glass or mug
Garnish: orange twist

Combine all ingredients and heat gently (as to not burn off the alcohol) until hot. Stir, pour into a mug and garnish.
