Vodka Espresso

vodka-espresso-crdt-katie-burnettFirst mixed in the 1980s by London bartender Dick Bradsell, the Vodka Espresso (aka Espresso Martini) has a simplicity of preparation and an uncomplicated (but always appealing) flavor that make it a modern classic.

2 oz. vodka
1 oz. espresso
1/2 oz. coffee liqueur
1/4 oz. simple syrup (1:1)
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: cocktail
Garnish: 3 coffee beans

Combine ingredients in a shaker and fill with ice. Shake until chilled and foamy; strain into chilled glass and garnish.
