Vesper Martini

vesperMade famous by James Bond in Ian Fleming’s book Casino Royale, the Vesper Martini is, of course, shaken, not stirred. At SteakBar in Chicago, beverage director Jean Tomaro suggests using Bombay Sapphire gin for best results.

1½ oz. gin
1 oz. vodka
½ oz. Lillet Blanc
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: cocktail
Garnish: lemon twist

Shake ingredients with ice, strain into a chilled glass and garnish.
