A little-known Daiquiri adaptation listed in both the Bartender's Guide by Trader Vic and The Stork Club Bar Book, this recipe specifies Jamaican rum and swaps in honey syrup for the more traditional simple syrup sweetness.


2 oz. Jamaican rum

1/2 oz. fresh lime juice

1/2 oz. honey syrup (1:1)*

Ice cubes

Tools: shaker, strainer, fine strainer

Glass: cocktail

Garnish: lime wedge

Combine all ingredients and shake with ice for 15 seconds. Fine-strain into a chilled glass and garnish.


*If using fresh honey, stir contents to dilute the honey before adding ice.
