Anvil Bar & Refuge’s Daiquiri

Houston knows heat. And come July when temperatures can reach well into the triple digits, locals in the know head to Anvil for an off-menu Daiquiri made with Jamaican rum, fresh lime juice and a rich turbinado syrup.

2 oz. Jamaican white rum
¾ oz. fresh lime juice
¼ oz. turbinado syrup (2:1)
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: cocktail or coupe
Garnish: lime wedge

Combine all ingredients with ice and shake to chill. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish.
