Upcoming Event: Portland Indie Wine Festival

Not to keep plugging our hometown, but there’s yet another great event coming up right in our backyard, so we couldn’t resist. Now in its third year, the Indie Wine Festival is set to take place in Portland May 5-6. If you’re interested in discovering some amazingly talented but lesser-known winemakers, this fun event showcases up-and-coming wineries with production of less than 2,000 cases annually. The festival takes place at Urban Wineworks, a casual, intimate setting that allows you to chat one-on-one with winemakers and taste and buy wines that can normally be tough to get your hands on. Plus, more than a dozen local restaurants will be serving up nibbles to pair with the wines. If you’re in town, this event is definitely worth checking out—you’ll likely leave with some gems that you can proudly add to your wine collection, and you’ll get a fun glimpse into Oregon’s indie wine scene. Urban Wine Works is located near Northwest 16th Ave and Flanders St in Portland’s Pearl District. All wines will be for sale on-site and direct shipping (where legal) will be available.
