The 2013 San Antonio Cocktail Conference

The Alamo City is in for a treat. The San Antonio Cocktail Conference is back for a second round with an impressive lineup of seminars, tastings, competitions, cocktail parties and more. Hailed as Texas’ first cocktail conference, SACC takes place January 17-20 and brings together top bartenders and cocktail aficionados while raising money for HeartGift San Antonio

Single event tickets and all-access passes are still available on the San Antonio Cocktail Conference website, but they’re going fast. Here are a few of the events we’ve got our eye on:

Opening Night at the Majestic Theater on Thursday, January 17, from 7-11 PM
  • Kick off the 2nd Annual San Antonio Cocktail Conference with a spectacular night at the Majestic Theater. There will be bars throughout the three levels of this historic theater, serving a variety of specialty cocktails. Enjoy music throughout the evening and food on every level provided by the San Antonio Chef Coalition. Ticket includes admission to the event, all cocktails and appetizers.

  • Join San Antonio native, Tito Beveridge as he tells the tale of Tito’s Handmade Vodka. In 1995, Beveridge built his own micro-distillery in Texas; since then, he’s won many awards, including double gold at the World Spirits Competition and the Chairman’s Trophy for World’s Best Vodka Tonic.
Mixology 101 Workshop at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel on Saturday, January 19, from 2:30-4 PM
  • Join Sly Cosmopoulos, Corporate Moxologist for Republic National Distributing, for an  intro to cocktail-making and flavor analysis. Learn about flavor identification as well as building the perfect cocktail. Bar tools will also be reviewed and put to the test.
