Rye and Pine Old Fashioned Riff

Pine syrup adds a wintry edge to this twist on the Old Fashioned.
The fresh, citrusy flavors of homemade pine syrup complement bold rye whiskey in this wintery, aromatic riff on the classic Old Fashioned.
Ingredients
- 2 oz. rye whiskey
- ½ oz. pine syrup
- 2 dashes aromatic bitters
- Tools:barspoon
- Glass:Old Fashioned
- Garnish:lemon or orange twist
Preparation
Combine the pine syrup and bitters in an Old Fashioned glass. Add the whiskey and stir. Fill the glass with ice and stir again to chill. Garnish.
