The Rusty Coa

“To balance this cocktail’s spicy nature, I added vinegar and club soda,” says cocktail blogger Andres Aleman. “That really gives the drink a refreshing kick.”

2 oz. mezcal
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. agave nectar
½ oz. white vinegar
3-4 dashes of habanero hot sauce
Pinch of kosher salt
Club soda
Tools: shaker, stainer
Glass: Collins
Garnish: lemon peel and fresh mint sprig

 

Combine all ingredients, except club soda, and shake with ice. Strain into an ice cube-filled glass, top with soda and garnish.
