Brian Miller’s riff on the 20th Century cocktail uses whiskey instead of gin for a more brooding flavor profile. Try making the drink at home with DIY crème de cacao for a fun weekend project.

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz. bourbon
  • ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ oz. crème de cacao
  • ¾ oz. Lillet Rouge
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:coupe

Preparation

Shake the ingredients with ice to chill, then strain into a chilled glass.
