South End: A Hibiscus Cocktail

Dot Dot Dot owner Stefan Huebner found inspiration for this hibiscus cocktail from Charlotte, North Carolina’s vibrant neighborhood South End. The cocktail’s light, refreshing notes are enhanced by the cool, floral notes of a mint hibiscus cordial, which can also be added to iced tea, club soda, or tonic water for a zero-proof option.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 1 1/2 oz. mint/hibiscus flower cordial
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz. dry curaçao
  • 3 oz. highly carbonated soda (Dot Dot Dot recommends Topo Chico)
  • Tools:shaker, strainer, barspoon
  • Glass:hurricane
  • Garnish:mint bouquet, dehydrated lemon wheel

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients, except the soda, to a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into the ice-filled glass. Top with soda and stir. Garnish.
