A tasty trinity of Cognac, spiced rum, and green Chartreuse.
The Holy Water cocktail—a longtime favorite at New Orleans’ Seaworthy where it’s served in a votive candle glass and set aflame—balances out spiced rum’s sweetness with bright citrus and oak-aged Cognac, while a barspoon of green Chartreuse lends herbal depth.
Pour all of the ingredients into a glass. Add crushed ice to fill and swizzle the drink until well mixed and chilled. Add a half hollowed-out lime, place a sugar cube inside, cover it with green Chartreuse, carefully light the Chartreuse on fire, then and serve.
