Sangria Rosado

For this summery sipper, bartender Gabriella Mlynarczyk dresses up her Sangria Rosado with a mint basil syrup, watermelon juice, rosé, and white rum. To finish it off, she says a touch of ume plum vinegar adds “mouthwatering complexity.”

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. rosé
  • 2 oz. watermelon juice
  • 1 oz mint basil syrup
  • 1/2 oz. white rum
  • barspoon ume plum vinegar (optional)
  • Tools:barspoon
  • Glass:wine
  • Garnish:watermelon cubes or slices and opal basil or mint sprigs

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to an ice-filled glass, stir, and garnish.

Mint Basil SyrupSteep fresh mint and basil leaves in hot simple syrup overnight and then strain.
