Swapping the classic whiskey-to-vermouth ratio.
The Reverse Manhattan is exactly what the name suggests, with the whiskey-to-vermouth ratio reversed. But perhaps a more appropriate name would be the Original Manhattan, as this was the initial 19th-century construction of the drink. “I love a Reverse Manhattan!” says Sother Teague of New York’s Amor y Amargo. “Great full flavors, without all the punch of a traditional version.”
Stir the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, strain into a chilled glass and garnish.
