A tea-infused Negroni with nutty and toasty notes.

As a nod to the tradition of tea drinking in China, Hutong NYC, a Northern Chinese restaurant in Manhattan, infuses Campari with oolong tea for its Negroni twist. The Chinese tea bestows the cocktail with nutty and toasty notes that complement the cocktail’s bittersweet flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. London dry gin
  • 3/4 oz. blanc vermouth
  • 3/4 oz. oolong-infused Campari
  • Tools:mixing glass, barspoon, strainer
  • Glass:Nick and Nora
  • Garnish:orange peel

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled and strain into a chilled glass. Garnish.
Oolong Tea-Infused CampariAdd 20g of oolong tea to 750ml of Campari. Steep at room temperature for 30 minutes, shaking occasionally. Fine strain before use.
