A little-known tequila classic from the ’70s.

Prado, a deep-cut classic cocktail from the 1970s, swaps a Margarita’s orange liqueur for maraschino and adds a frothy texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. blanco tequila
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz. maraschino liqueur
  • 1/4 oz. simple syrup (1:1)
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh egg white (or substitute vegan foamer)
  • Tools:shaker, strainer, fine strainer
  • Glass:cocktail
  • Garnish:lime wheel, cherry

Preparation

Shake all of the ingredients without ice until frothy, then add ice and shake again until chilled. Double strain into a chilled glass, then garnish.
