Peachamom Cold Brew Coffee

A fruity and spiced cold brew for hot days.

A homemade peach-cardamom syrup adds summery flavor to this seasonal cold brew.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cold brew, diluted to desired strength
  • 1 1/2 oz. peach-cardamom syrup, divided
  • 3 oz. oat milk, or preferred dairy or alt-milk
  • Tools:milk frother
  • Glass:large tumbler
  • Garnish:peach-cardamom dust

Preparation

Add 1 oz. of the peach-cardamom syrup to the glass. Top with cold brew, stir to combine, and add ice. Froth the oat milk with the remaining 1/2 oz. of syrup to make a cold foam, then pour the foamed milk on top of the coffee. Sprinkle the drink with an 8:1 mixture of freeze-dried peach dust and ground cardamom.

Peach-Cardamom SyrupCombine 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat and add 2 Tbsp. of whole cardamom pods, and allow the mixture to steep overnight. Strain out the cardamom, then make the finished syrup by combining 3 parts white peach puree to 1 part cardamom simple syrup, and mixing until smooth.
