To complement the Afro-Caribbean dishes at Los Angeles restaurant Lucia, Beverage Director Melina Meza created a savory Martini around okra. "I wanted a Martini that reads classic on first sip but quietly nods to the flavors of our menu," says Meza. House-pickled okra and its brine lend savory and vegetal note which are then balanced by the herbaceousness of the infused dry vermouth. The result is an approachable and clean take on the dirty Martini.
