Coffee liqueur gives this holiday treat an extra flavor boost.
“Egg nog should be made from scratch and at the very least shaken to order,” says Puesto bar and spirits creative director Beau du Bois. In this take on the drink, du Bois pairs aged tequila with amontillado sherry (a la the Morgenthaler method), then spikes the mix with coffee liqueur for extra depth of flavor.
Combine all of the ingredients and shake without ice. Add ice and shake to chill. Strain into a coupe and garnish.
