Summer simply wouldn’t be summer without a frozen drink in the rotation. Reminiscent of a classic cherry limeade, the bright flavors of hibiscus and lime meet the richness of cherry liqueur in this refreshing vodka slushy.

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz. vodka
1 oz. hibiscus syrup
3/4 oz. Heering cherry liqueur
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
1 cup of crushed ice

Tools:blender
Glass:cocktail or highball
Garnish:lime wheel, maraschino cherry

Preparation

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth. Pour into a glass and garnish.

Hibiscus SyrupBring 2 cups of water to a boil and remove from heat. Add 1/4 cup of dried hibiscus tea and let steep for 4 minutes, until the liquid is deep magenta. Strain the liquid, then add 2 cups of sugar and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Keeps refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
