Moitié-Moitié: A 50:50 Martini Riff

This twist lands somewhere between a Martini and a White Negroni

“I really like a wet Martini, and I really prefer a citrus twist,” says Zac Overman of his reasoning behind this 50:50 Martini recipe that swaps a Corsican aperitif wine for the traditional vermouth. “It’s got a little bit of bitterness from the quinquina, so this lands between a Martini and a White Negroni.”

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. gin (L’Oursin uses Tanqueray 10)
  • 1 1/2 oz. Cap Corse blanc quinquina
  • 2 dashes saline solution (6:1 ratio of water to sea salt), or a tiny pinch of sea salt
  • Tools:barspoon, strainer
  • Glass:Nick & Nora
  • Garnish:grapefruit twist

Preparation

Stir all of the ingredients with ice, strain into a chilled glass, and garnish.
