A fruity and floral vodka cocktail.

“The inspiration behind the recipe was to offer a bright, close-to-acidic, cocktail that didn’t have fresh citrus juice—to extend shelf life,” says Nostrana assistant general manager and events coordinator Natalia Toral of this recipe, which features citric acid. In the drink, the blanc vermouth brings in “strong stone fruit notes with a bitter finish,” which plays well with the “peachy and bright aspects of the drink,” she adds.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. vodka
  • 3/4 oz. blanc vermouth
  • 1/2 oz. Tempus Fugit crème de banane liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. citric acid solution
  • 5 dashes orange bitters
  • Tools:mixing glass, barspoon
  • Glass:coupe
  • Garnish:lime wheel

Preparation

Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled. Pour into a chilled coupe, then garnish.

Citric acid solution: Stir 4 Tbsp. of citric acid into 27 oz. of water until diluted. Yields: 1 qt.
