Life in Colors: An Absinthe Frappe

Strawberry absinthe frappe

Strawberry’s sweetness tempers absinthe’s herbaceousness in this frosty frappe.

This absinthe frappe by bar manager Tyler Malone of New Orleans’ Zasu balances the sweetness of strawberry with the spirit’s intense herbeaceousness. “The goal was to create a balanced, intriguing cocktail that softens absinthe’s boldness while being suitable to drink in the hot New Orleans summers,” says Malone.

  • Glass:small rocks
  • Garnish:mint
