Holiday Shopper Margarita

What better way to take the edge off of holiday shopping than a Margarita? In trying to make a summery classic more winter-appropriate, Beau du Bois of Puesto complements a hibiscus-infused tequila with a ginger-spiced cordial for the perfect seasonal twist.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. hibiscus-infused reposado tequila
  • 1 oz. holiday cordial
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz. Grand Marnier
  • Tools:blender, coffee filter, pot, shaker
  • Glass:pilsner
  • Garnish:mint bouquet dusted with powdered sugar

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a shaker with a handful of pebble ice and whip shake briefly. Dump directly into a glass. Garnish.
Hibiscus-Infused ReposadoBlend 750ml of reposado tequila with 25g of dried hibiscus on high in a blender for 2 minutes. Strain through a coffee filter.
Holiday CordialAdd 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, 2 Tbsp. of thinly sliced ginger, 1 Tbsp. of vanilla paste, and 1 cinnamon stick to a pot. Heat to a simmer, then let the mixture simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and let it cool for 1 hour before straining through a coffee filter.
