Whiskey Highball

A drizzle of ruby port adds color to this whiskey cocktail from St. Louis.

A drizzle of port adds a splash of color and lush berry flavors to this refreshing whiskey highball.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. whiskey (the bar uses Hatfield & McCoy)
  • ½ oz. ginger liqueur
  • ½ oz. fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ oz. ruby port
  • Ginger ale
  • Fresh mint or lemon slice
  • Tools:barspoon
  • Glass:Collins
  • Garnish:lemon slice or fresh mint

Preparation

Stir the first 3 ingredients over ice, strain into a Collins glass and top with ginger ale. Float the ruby port on top and garnish with fresh mint or lemon slice.
