Holiday tropical rum cocktail

A Painkiller for the holidays.

Mauro Hernandez, bartender of Strong Water in Anaheim, California, transforms the tropical Painkiller cocktail into a holiday sipper with rich créme de cacao and cooling Branca Menta.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 oz. overproof rum
  • 3/4 oz. Branca Menta
  • 1/4 oz. creme de cacao
  • 1/4 oz. demerara syrup (1:1)
  • 1 oz. Coco Lopez
  • 3/4 oz. fresh orange juice
  • 3/4 oz. pineapple juice
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:Mai Tai
  • Garnish:chocolate shavings

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into the glass over a large ice cube. Garnish.
