Dr. Melfi’s Medicine, a Negroni Sour

“Dr. Melfi’s Medicine was an opportunity to showcase the complexity of a Negroni without the richness of an all-booze drink,” says Melfi’s owner Brooks Reitz. “I felt like it was a Negroni for beginners without altering any of the ingredients, and simply supplementing. It’s bright, fresh, and slightly less dangerous than your classic Negroni.”

Ingredients

  • ½ oz. London Dry gin
  • ½ oz. Campari
  • ½ oz. sweet vermouth
  • ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz. simple syrup (1:1)
  • Tools:shaker, strainer, fine strainer
  • Glass:Collins
  • Garnish:grapefruit wedge

Preparation

Combine all the ingredients into shaker and fine strain over fresh ice. Garnish.
