Desert Moon: A Sotol Cocktail

In what has become one of the bestsellers at Ginger’s in Dallas, blood orange and pomegranate juices balance out the vegetal and earthy notes of sotol for a complex but refreshing cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. sotol (Ginger's uses Los Magos)
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz. blood orange juice
  • 3/4 oz. agave syrup
  • 1/2 oz. pomegranate juice
  • Glass:double Old Fashioned
  • Garnish:Tajín half rim, dehydrated lime wheel

Preparation

Prepare the glass with the Tajin rim, fill with ice, and set aside. Shake all of the ingredients with ice and strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with the lime wheel.
