A berry-sweet taste of summer.
Florida bartenders need to know a thing or two about cooling drinks in summertime, and this bright mix of vodka, falernum, lime, and the season’s best blackberries is utterly crushable.
Shake all of the ingredients with ice, then strain into a glass filled with crushed ice, and garnish.
Blackberry SyrupIn a saucepan over medium heat, combine 2 cups of sugar with 1 cup of water and stir until sugar has dissolved. Add 1 cup of fresh blackberries and reduce heat to a simmer; cook for about 15-20 minutes. Let the mixture cool, then strain out the solids and bottle the syrup for use. Keeps refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
