A Northeast-made elderberry liqueur adds a splash of brightness to this beer-topped gin cocktail.
1 oz. gin
3/4 oz. elderberry liqueur
2 dashes aromatic bitters (Baumann and Vorobik use Bitter Truth)
Berliner Weisse beer
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: bucket
Combine all ingredients, except beer, and shake with ice cubes. Strain into an ice-filled glass and top with beer.
