Brighten your morning ritual with this coffee mocktail from Charleston.

Aromatic mint and sweet, gooey honey dance with the chocolate and toffee notes of espresso in this excellent iced coffee riff from Second State Coffee (formerly known as Black Tap Coffee) in Charleston.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot espresso
  • 5-6 mint sprigs
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • Tools:muddler, strainer
  • Glass:rocks or julep
  • Garnish:fresh mint sprigs

Preparation

Muddle mint and honey in a shaker. Add espresso and swirl together until the honey dissolves. Add ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a glass over crushed ice and garnish.
