A vibrant cocktail that cuts through the heaviness of winter.

This crisp, bright pomegranate cocktail is a refreshing counterpoint to the often rich, decadent drinks of wintertime.

Ingredients

1 oz. vodka
1 oz. pomegranate liqueur
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1/2 oz. cranberry juice
1/2 oz. simple syrup (1:1)

Tools:shaker, strainer, fine strainer
Glass:Collins or footed pilsner
Garnish:cucumber ribbon and mint sprig

Preparation

Insert a cucumber ribbon in the glass followed by crushed ice. Add 1/2 a cucumber (cut up in 6 small pieces) and 6 mint sprigs to the shaker and lightly muddle. Add all of the ingredients to the shaker with ice. Shake and double strain over the crushed ice in the glass. Garnish.
