This cocktail, from the talented Katie Loeb, won top honors at the 2009 Sake Fest Cocktail Competition.
1 1/4 oz Tombo shochu
3/4 oz. Choya plum wine
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. pineapple juice
1/4 oz. St. Germain
1 tsp. maraschino liqueur
Splash cranberry juice
Dash Fee Brothers Grapefruit bitters
Ice cubes
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: cocktail
Garnish: lemon twist
Shake all ingredients, strain into a chilled glass and garnish.
