Two Italian-born sippers get a bright, botanical boost thanks to a full ounce of gin.


1 oz. gin

1 1/2 oz. Barolo chinato, chilled

1/3 oz. Fernet-Branca

1/2 oz. ice water

2 strips of lemon zest

Tools: mixing glass, barspoon, strainer

Glass: tulip


Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass, stir with ice and strain into a chilled glass.
