Drink of the Week: Sorry Not Sorry IPA

sorry-not-sorry-ipa-crdt-courtesy-stoneStone Brewing isn’t about to apologize for their love of hoppy beers, as their newest collaboration brew makes quite clear. Sorry Not Sorry IPA combines the hop-driven passions of Stone, St. Louis’ 4 Hands Brewing Co. and Yakima, Washington’s Bale Breaker Brewing Co. into one big, juicy, imperial IPA. Bright and intensely aromatic, the brew leads with Simcoe hops, which were first farmed commercially by Loftus Ranches (the home of Bale Breaker). Warrior and Mosaic are also added to the mix, along with experimental varieties HBC 342 and 344, which introduce notes of berries, citrus and tropical fruit. Puréed peaches up the stone fruit flavors without dominating, and the expected grapefruit peel lingers on the finish. Allow it to warm just slightly and a beautiful floral aroma blossoms. The deceptively drinkable beer packs a wallop at 9.3 percent, making it a perfect bottle to split with friends, in the spirit of collaboration, of course.
