Come Super Bowl Sunday, beer is practically as important as the game itself, and this year we’re placing our bets on today’s Drink of the Week—Widmer’s Columbia Common Spring Ale. The most recent release from Portland, Oregon brewing brothers Kurt and Rob Widmer, this beer’s low ABV (it clocks in at just 4.7%) and quadruple dose of hops drinks similarly to an India Session Ale (the up-and-coming beer style we highlight in our inaugural “Imbibe 75”), and it’s just the brew for pairing with game-day snacks.
