Drink of the Week: Verve Nitro Flash Brew Single Origin

nitro flash brew
Santa Cruz-based Verve Coffee Roasters is perpetually exploring the boundaries of coffee culture, and the company’s canned Nitro Flash Brew is one of the latest examples of its eye for innovation. Verve uses a proprietary process to first brew hot in an oxygen-free environment, then flash chill the coffee while infusing nitrogen, resulting in a fresh, smooth sipper. The Nitro Flash Brew line expanded this week with the launch of a decaf and single-origin option. The first single-origin offering is the Ethiopia Sakaro, highlighted by bright flavors of orange and cherry in a velvety nitro coffee. $3.99 each, $47/12-pack, flashbrew.com
